Legal obligation

In accordance with the Act on Water for Human Consumption (Official Gazette 30/2023), all priority facilities are required to prepare a Risk Assessment of the building water supply system by the end of 2025.

Priority facilities include:

hotels and campsites

hospitals and health resorts

pupil and student dormitories

shopping malls

correctional institutions and military barracks

schools and other educational institutions

kindergartens

social care facilities with resident users

sports halls

The assessment is carried out in accordance with The Water for Human Consumption Act and the Ordinance on the Control of Parameters of Consumers’ Domestic Water Supply Systems and Other Systems of Public Health Importance, as well as in line with the plan and program for the education of all stakeholders (Official Gazette 43/24).
